Dance as Meditation

Weekly on Sundays, April 3 - December 11

Description: Try out this gentle movement class that incorporates elements of yoga, pilates, breath work, musical exploration and meditation.

Description: Join us for an open, collaborative, and community music-making rehearsal facilitated by Krystal Kiran and Matt Yang (of ‘Couch Jams’). Bring your own acoustic instrument, your voice, and good vibes. Let’s jam!

Seniors Seva

First Sunday of the Month, April 3 - December 4
Time: 9:30am-10:30am

Ages: 55+
Capacity: 10 participants in person ; unlimited on Zoom.
Description: In the spirit of service, known as “Seva” in Punjabi, this accessible monthly seniors movement/wellness class is open to seniors ages 55+ of all cultural backgrounds and experience levels. Artist-in-residence Krystal Kiran will sing old Bollywood songs and ghazals to the group throughout the sessions. All movements can be approached from a chair and seated position.

Heads Together Book Club: Creating Branscombe’s Virtual Library

First Thursday of the Month, April 7 - December 1
Time: 6:30-8:00pm
Facility: Branscombe House; in-person and Virtual on Zoom.

Ages: 19+
Capacity: 15 participants in person; unlimited on Zoom.
Description: Join the club! This monthly book club will help create a collection of books, readings and texts as a legacy community project. Members will help select upcoming books focussing on decolonization, community wellness, and cross-cultural allyship.

Courage to Dream Seminar Series

First Saturday of the Month, April 2 - December 3 Time: 11:00am-3:00pm
Facility: Branscombe House; in-person.
Ages: 16+

Capacity: 12-15 participants
Description: In this monthly personal development seminar participants are introduced to concepts of self-care, achieving your dreams, setting goals and boundaries, and more. During each roundtable seminar, key concepts will be explored through movement modalities like Pilates and dance.Co-facilitated by Krystal and Kuljeet.
